Camp Southwoods Fun Activities & Awesome Facilities
The Camp Southwoods program is action-packed from sun-up to sun-down each and every day! Our campers get the opportunity to experience high quality coaching and instruction from hand-selected, highly trained staff. From learning to waterski or wakeboard behind one of our tournament watersports boat on Paradox Lake to riding the zip-line and giant swing in our on-site high ropes course, campers are guaranteed to have non-stop fun! Land Sports
Our many land sports present campers with the opportunity to either further develop skills in sports they play at home or try a completely new athletic endeavor. We hire experienced coaches who not only love the sport they are teaching but love seeing kids excel!
Every activity is a combination of focused skill building combined with exciting games. While we play hard and believe in healthy competition, teamwork and sportsmanship are the real hallmarks of our program. We have exciting intra-camp leagues and opportunities to play inter-camps with other area camps.
Our indoor facilities include a spectacular indoor pavilion with an NBA sized indoor basketball court and a workout room with everything you could want to get your body in shape. We have a yoga room that also acts as an indoor cycling facility as well. We also have a fully equipped gymnastics pavilion! Our outdoor facilities include a high school size outdoor basketball court, four collegiate-level fields for baseball (including a batting cage), softball, soccer (with a track around it) and lacrosse. We have a state-of-the-art hockey rink, a brand new volleyball court, and an exciting archery area.

The Camp Southwoods waterfront is the place to be. Beautiful Paradox Lake is home to instructional swim, free swim, our epic water playground and our incredible water sports program. We offer paddleboarding, sailing, and many other water adventures like waterskiing and wakeboarding.
There’s nothing like the excitement of getting up on water skis for the first time! Our lake is the perfect place for interested campers to learn, starting on the boom for beginners and working up to advanced skills like slalom or dropping a ski.
Our Camp Southwoods Beach is an amazing place to hang with friends, play beach volleyball and look out at the magnificent lake and dramatic sunsets.

There is never a dull moment at the many Camp Southwoods art studios. Imagine, paint, draw, build, sculpt, tie-dye, and even cook. Every artist at Camp Southwoods is encouraged to develop new skills and grow their creative toolbox. Our expert instructors love the arts and believe that the sky's the limit when it comes to what artists can do.
Our main art center includes painting, drawing, sculpture, jewelry making, and fabric arts. We also have a state of the art ceramics studio and an exceptional woodshop. In fact, every adirondack chair in camp was built in our wonderful woodshop!

For campers who love to perform or want to try it for the first time, Camp Southwoods has it all. Each session we put on our main camp musical and host our famous talent show and Lip Sync contest. All of these are in our Camp Southwoods Theater. We also have a full dance program and dance studio which includes classes in ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. Campers love the Camp Southwoods garage band where we offer instruction in guitar, drums and many other instruments!
